  • I thought u were suppose to cut the okra like circular coin shapes like I see in other videos?

  • @promcomp Not in this one. That is one secret to making it dry. The water from inside evaporates faster if it is cut lengthwise.

  • Can you use frozen okra? What do I do with this frozen okra my husband bought. I am scared that it will get slimy. :(

  • Meanwhile, chop okra (the frozen okra may already be chopped) and add it to the thick paste and mix gently. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes on low heat. Open lid, and add 1/2 the coriander leaves, salt and garam masala and cover again for another 5-7 minutes. In the last minute or two, add the big tomato pieces, cover and cook for 1-2 minutes. Serve hot with naan, mango pickle and yoghurt.

  • I also this recipe for squash. I love the the Asian people cook vegetables. Everybody else just wants to put a whole lot of sauce on it to give them a flavor or taste.

Chop onions coarsely. Heat oil in a wok and add cumin seeds. In 1 minute, add bay leaves and onion. Saute on medium heat till the onion becomes golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes, finely chopped coriander stalks, turmeric, red chili powder, ginger paste and garlic paste. Saute for about 7 minutes till you see oil (not water) when you push it to one side.
