@Iceman3801 Tae Kwon Do imported a lot of these joint locks etc from Hapkido after Hapkido was brought back from Japan after WWII. (Initially it was Daito Ryu Aiki JuJitsu)

@TheG1NGAN1NJA taekwondo has a move like that too. this move is for when, for some reason, you need to disable the person, as opposed to simply breaking their grip. but I remember as a white or yellow belt, one of those, they taught us the one where you basically turn your wrist over and swing your hips, breaks the grip straight away. these vids take me back to high school lol, although if I went back into martial arts, I would probably do Jeet Kune Do. :)

Yeah try this when the other guy has a sharp object in his other hand and you're looking at a serious eye or face injury within seconds

Would never use this elbow lock in the street just exposing your back, could probably pull your hand away from his grip if done quickly.
