  • Every feeling within me ever imaginable occurs at 3:57: the greatest amount of joy intertwined with a solemn hurt. Completely beautiful. Rachmaninoff writes with such feeling. Then it ends and within you crave it again, and sure enough he has the horn repeat it at 4:19. Brilliance. A true gem to listen to.

  • Shit, I'm a dude and I think I just cried a bit

  • Gosh, it's gorgeous.

  • If this doesn't move you in any way whatsoever, I don't know what will.

  • " a solemn hurt" whoever said that, know that I am feeling that and wish you happiness. Apt comment.

  • I absolutely love this movement! The feeling is so powerful, it penetrates your whole body and mind.

Rachmaninoff is by far my favorite composer, bar none. His works are so amazing!

  • @Floogy26 The young lady in the photo (from the late 30's) was actually his granddaughter Sophia

LOL I am trying to change my life thats why I am starting my own business all while still having my full time job.

  • The part from 2:36-3:11 synchronizes with undetected emotions and fantasies in my brain. The same phrase is repeated 3 times, each time with an intensification.Such a marvellous play from this orchestra.

  • @Budguy68 if all you see is work, consider changing your life. Remember you only live once.

  • sometimes i feel that there is no reason to live because all i see is work and things i have to keep up with but than I listen to this song and it gives me joy and personal happiness. thanks for uploading this and Thank goodness for Rachmaninov!

  • @chuchitoRE Well people have always said this in every age. I thnk the truth is that there is marvellous beauty and also not so good stuff today, as there was in Rachmaninov's time.
