Joe's POV
I looked around me as trees on the highway passed by. I turned my head towards the driving Demi, she glanced at me.
"Yes?" She asked.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"The great mall of Oregon, Joe. We can do some random shopping to get your mind off of things. Then we can get Dippin Dots."
I noticed her face lit up when she mentioned Dippin Dots.
"Why so excited?" I asked.
"Because it's awesome." She said. I could tell that wasnt the only reason. But when you actually studied her features like I was, you could tell that behind all the excitement there was a hint of sadness.
"All right." I said, letting the subject go. I would ask her later, when the moment was right.
Demi pulled into the parking lot of the mall. She finally found a spot and we both got out, walking in the direction of the entrance. Cameras flashed around us as we walked and I rolled my eyes.
"How come they always find us?" I asked Demi. She laughed and nudged me.
"You're Joe Jonas. Sometimes I wonder how they DON'T find us."
I laughed.
We walked into the mall and Demi pulled me along past the food court and to where all the stores were collected.
"Are you actually gonna buy something?" I asked her. She shook her head and rolled her eyes.
"No, Joe. We're just gonna window shop like old people do in those old movies." She said sarcastically. I jumped up and down.
"Oh! Do we get the awesome, preppy, mall-y background music too?!"
She shoved me lightly, "Shut up."
I laughed again and walked with her into Abercrombie.
"Ugh, I hate this store." I commented as Demi pushed through a rack.
"Gasp! That's like hating sunshine."
"Ok first of all, do NOT say gasp ever again. And second of all, you so got that line from Wizards!" I accused. Demi shrugged carelessly and started walking out of the store.
"It's a classic." She said as she smiled for a picture and then kept walking. I struggled to keep up with her pace.
"Where's the fire?" I asked. She laughed.
"It's normal to walk fast in a mall, Joe. Duh."
"No it's not! You're just totally weird and in a rush."
"So I'm weird now? Gee, thanks." Demi walked into Victoria's Secret and I stood by the entrance. I don't really want the headlines reading Joe Jonas enters Victoria's Secret. It took Demi halfway into the store to notice I wasnt by her side. She did a U-turn and faced me.
"Come on, Joseph." She waved her hand. I scoffed.
"Aw, hell no."
"Please," Demi begged, "I'll let you see me try on stuff."
I laughed a little too over dramatically and caught attention. Great.
"Demi, I'm not a pervert."
"Aw, shoot. It worked so well with Nick."
"You...WHAT!?"
Demi grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me inside.
"I'm kidding. Come AWN!"
I groaned.

I love this one. I wrote it while watching Gilmore Girls, that's why it's so much better.
