The combinator is like a bottomless pit of possibility. I always find that the more I tweak it, the more "extra-tweakable" I realize it is. Last week I reintroduced the fundamentals of the combinator for you. This week I'll go deep with you and show you some advanced techniques you can employ. Keep one hand on your controller keyboard and the other on the youtube pause button... this one moves quickly.

Awesome patch James. I have a suggestion but don't know if this is the right way about it. Being able to restrict the value of the knobs on the Combinator is really handy but the movement range is still full. What if the knob movement was limited to its value so that if there were only 4 values available, the movement would move in 4 notched positions (think Screamer select knobs)? Visually, this would help a lot (but maybe it's just me).

As always, great info. I'm doing something similar with several Neptunes inside a Combinator. It's amazing the stuff that comes out with vocals. All kinds of random harmonies, stutters, stretches... I had one part sound like a barbershop quartet! LOL!
