this happened to me with health. It was not comfortable BUT the best thing happened: I am closer to God, I trust Him more, I believe Him more. Glory to God

I totally agree what Dr piper said that God builds faith by knocking the props from our lives. that way we surrender to God and wholly defend on Him.
Our good Lord building solid, unshakable faith in us through those trials or experiences.

Props don't lead you to faith, I dont think you heard the inital statement he made. He said "God builds faith by knocking the props from under our lives" What he is basically saying is God will teach you to rely on him by taking away all the other things that lead you to comfort like your health, friend, family, etc. etc. When you loose everything in your life that you hold dear, you learn to rely on Him more as oppose to the people and things in your life that bring you comfort.
