NTV Uganda Report: Uganda Media Tour to AFRICOM H/Qs -- Search for Kony

The Uganda Media Delegation visited U.S. Africa Command H/Q from July 16th - July 23rd, 2011. During the visit, the delegation met senior military leaders, Stuttgart City Officials and military news organizations and received engagement, operation, and organizations briefings from Command representatives. The delegation also met and held an on-the-record briefing with Command Commander Gen. Carter Ham, who gave an overview of AFRICOM's involvement in current situations in Uganda and parts of Africa. Among the places and people the delegation visited were: The Stuttgart City Deputy Mayor; American Forces Network Europe H/Q in Mannheim; 17th Air Forces Africa at Ramstein Airbase; Stars & Stripes H/Q in K'Town; Marine Forces Africa and Marine Forces Europe H/Q; and the 3rd largest news paper network in German, the Stuttgarter Nachrichten H/Q. Most of the day's briefings were from different sections of AFRICOM.
