raat yun dil mein

Like thousands of other people, we love Faiz's poetry. With this composition we remember him for all he stood for - love, justice and peace. Hope you enjoy one of his most famous couplet presented here based on raag Sankara Karan.

Last night your faded memory came to me
As in the wilderness spring comes quietly,
As, slowly, in the desert, moves the breeze,
As, to a sick man, without cause, comes peace.

This version cannot even begin compare with the superb version sung by Nayyara Noor at the conclusion of Dhoop Kinaray. Even a model showing skin and cleavage does not help...

I think the original tune and arrangement is too perfect. This one does not work for me. But the model is pretty.

yar yeh kia hai? feel the poetry in your heart before composing or singing. I think the original version is so perfect, that its not necessary to change it at all. Nice voice otherwise. :)

nice effort but seems a bit loud in comparison to the original song and Abbas Ali Khan's version. no doubt your voice is good but its lacking the softness or shall i say the feel of the song.,,
