Like thousands of other people, we love Faiz's poetry. With this composition we remember him for all he stood for - love, justice and peace. Hope you enjoy one of his most famous couplet presented here based on raag Sankara Karan.

Here is a translation by Vikram Seth:

Last night your faded memory came to me
As in the wilderness spring comes quietly,
As, slowly, in the desert, moves the breeze,
As, to a sick man, without cause, comes peace.

  • Its crap nairra noor one is well better

  • Who is the model?????????????

  • This version cannot even begin compare with the superb version sung by Nayyara Noor at the conclusion of Dhoop Kinaray. Even a model showing skin and cleavage does not help...

  • I think the original tune and arrangement is too perfect. This one does not work for me. But the model is pretty.

  • yar yeh kia hai? feel the poetry in your heart before composing or singing. I think the original version is so perfect, that its not necessary to change it at all. Nice voice otherwise. :)

  • nice effort but seems a bit loud in comparison to the original song and Abbas Ali Khan's version. no doubt your voice is good but its lacking the softness or shall i say the feel of the song.,,
