Soul Calibur V Mitsurugi Gameplay - Day One

Hey guys, I had a BLAST playing this game today, and making this video. I'm hoping you all enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it. ;)

All the matches in this video are from Ranked Matches. No player matches, no shenanigans, all online random matchmaking Ranked Matches. Just so you know. These people are trying to win, despite what it may look like at times.

NOTE: I am not trying to act like I'm some super pro at this game, or trying to act like I think I'm hot shit. I am not. I am a decent player, who has been playing Soul Calibur - and Mitsurugi specifically; since Soul Calibur II. I was better at the previous installments, as a lot as changed in this one. I wanted to make this video for entertainment purposes; and also as documentation for my progress! I'm sure I'll look back on this a year from now, and smile. :)

Oh, and by the way, if you were wondering...There are TONS of stages in this game. You see a lot of the same ones here, because in ranked I choose stages when given the chance, and I choose that one that's a dark desert/field a lot; because there's no ringouts there. :)

Too bad they didn't really make the aging of the old characters that visible. They are supposedly 17 years older!

@MuikuliWander Relic stance was beyond cool...But hey, as far as aging goes I think Siegfried and Mitsurugi both look much older! Other characters like Ivy and Cervantes are immortal/do not age, along with Maxi, so that's why they still appear young. ;)

@MuikuliWander Oh no no no, that is one of my create a soul characters you always see me using. That's not the actual Mitsurugi. I always make Fahros after myself! I have a really badass more Samurai-inspired Fahros costume up now too. I'll be showing that off in a future vid. You unlock some pretty badass gear as you level up in this game. :)

what i noticed not by just this video ppl r mostly using siefrieds or nightmares fighting style who evers it is i mean

I used to kick my friends' asses with Mitsu and a couple of other chars back in the day in Soul Calibur II, III, and IV (I only own II myself). Seems to work well enough in V as well, but I'm pretty sad about the relic stance disappearing. It was just beyond cool.

@TheGod0fCookies Sorry for the late response! I had forgotten Tear Step's name, and I had to check what move that was when I was on SC V today, lol. I use it all the time, just didn't know the name. So to do the just input to actually get a Tear Step in the other games: If I was on pad, I would sort of cock my thumb up and to the right from the Y button, and slide it at a downward/left angle across Y and X to get the fastest input just frame for Tear Step!
