How to properly use the ab wheel. Ab wheels are a cheap and effective tool you can use to develop a strong toned midsection. Excellent for athletes in sports such as boxing, mma, golf and baseball as well.

  • QUESTION! For a person who's physically unfit and is trying to get into shape, would you recommend this exercise? Or is there something lighter that's better for starters? And if this exercise IS suitable, how long would you recommend I use the ab wheel, a minute? Less? More?

  • @devilcat07 See above post to Resonnant. If you are having difficulty mastering the wheel or something doesnt feel right then by all means choose something else. for many people I train who cannot do the wheel I use stability ball planks to help them. Planks are excellent.

  • I'm not sure if I'm doing the movement correctly, my back trembles when I stretch out, is it just because my back muscles are weak? Also my upper back hurts a bit during the curling motion...Any tips?

  • @MiraHakuta Too advanced probably! Try not going out far with the wheel or use other core exercises till your up to speed! Shouldnt take long if you work hard.

  • Hey there cassiusclaynyc. First, thanks for uploading this video. I'd like to ask how do I know if I'm doin it correctly because I just bought an ab wheel and my lower abs hurt (the way it usually does after doin some crunches) after doin like 3 sets, 20 reps but my lowerback hurts too even if I try to curve my back and crunch. I know when I accidentally pull using my back because I really feel it hurts. Do you think there's wrong with my execution? Thanks man!

  • @chelbau You may need to slow down and also do less reps. More is not better. Its all about quality. Every rep counts. I do way less reps and still get alot out of it. Also variety in your exercises. Your core works in many directions. Train it in all of them!

  • @AwesomeEnterprises Easy guy. All that shows is that possibly your core is in better condition than your arms are. The weakest muscle group of those recruited in the movement are gonna be the ones to tire first. With practice your arms will gain strength and endurance and you should hopefully then be able to feel it moreso in your stomach. Getting a good arm workout is a bad thing?

I lost 16ls just by doing the one

month workout plan. My partner and I

did it together and we both feel great

afterwards. I feel some intense working

out those routine and my abs were starting

to appear visibly. Anyway, you interchange

the name of the site. That should be:

  • Wow ... I just watched 2-3 other videos about using the ab wheel/roller, and in one minute you made 2 very important points I didn't hear in the other ones (about rounding your back and starting with your thighs perpendicular to the floor). Thanks a lot for the info!

  • Just use a dumbell with loosened spin locks, saves you money

  • How effective is it? A slightly trained person how many reps would he do??

  • Wow. I was doing everything wrong. Jesus. Thanks for the video! I sure was confused when I wasn't feeling anything in my core >_<'

  • GREAT VID!!

  • great video. I went through a few extremely unhelpful ones before I found this one and it explained why it was hurting my back. I need to work my way down....I was pulling with my back like you showed. Thnx
