i'm used to using dslr's, its nice to see no rolling shutter, for some reason this just looks way more cinematic that any footage i get with 5d mkII

dam bro, not to be rude or anything, but the image quality sucks, does not look like a red camera, and if it really was, then you threw away your money by not settings the lighting or settings right. This looks like a 300 dollar camera footage.

Why are the slow-motion sequences unsharp in HD? Red One can capture 120 fps in 2k resolution, right?

they are sharper in the original files but the 2K of RED is really less than 1080p because of how a Bayer Pattern Sensor works. more like 80% of 2K which is like 1600 pixels but more than HD on you tube. Part of the problem is that I was tired and sucked at pulling focus. Actually that's almost all of the problem.

Man, for youtube, I can't even tell the difference between a Red one camera and the Canon 5DM2 or 7D.

Yeah the difference is not much and depends on so many other factors that it really comes down to the project and how much time and mastered techniques are put into it.
