Wal-Mart sells a lot of things. Warranties are one of those things. When you buy a Tv, or I-pod though Wal-Mart when you are given an option to buy that warranty, you are actually purchasing that warranty through a company called NEW Corp. I had bought a 46in Polaroid TV (46in Polaroid 1080p (only (at that time) 1080p TV Wal-Mart sold) model TLA-04641C). that was 1.5 yr old (.5 years out of mfg warranty) when the TV plugged into any outlet would have a orange power light, even when you pressed the power button or used the remote. This is the trouble I've been going through trying to get parts, or service from these companies, I am trying to be as neutral as possible, and may even buy a warranty from Wal-Mart / "NEW" again, depending on how this all turns out! The people I would love to see this video are NEW CEO's Fred Schaufeld, Tony Nader, Martin Bloom, and Cliff White Video Series Part 1 of X

  • OK so I have the same problem. I got the warranty from new also. They told me last week the piece would be in Monday. Than they called me this Monday 3 days ago and said it would be another week. I called the better business bureau and my states attorney general office(you can email both)anyhow they contacted Wal Mart and to make a long story short I am headed to Wal Mart to get a 50 inch Vizio tv as a loner untill mine gets reapaired. So try that I think they will not carry polaroid anymore.

  • I got in touch with NEW top level execs with these videos and a phone call.. if you need an issue resolved.. i would be happy to email someone on your behalf @ NEW that will "Get things done"

  • I have the same thing with my tv.They called me last week and said the piece would be in today. Than they called me today and said it would be another week.

  • Magic, I bet you are going to get the same kind of RUN around I got, this is the problem, lots of companies like when i worked for dell, all the big names are buying cheap (over seas made electrolytic capacitors that become leaky (yes leaky like a bucket) or burst after a X number of years or months) they are only happy if it last 12 months, and then they aren't responsible. Let someone else deal with it. I am sick of it, really am, this paper said the policy is underwritten by AIG Insurance ha!

  • he said he bought it a year and a half ago

  • I was re-reading this long warranty thing that came with the brochure for the warranty.. and its so funny how we have this big separation of church and state, yet.. insurance companies and warranty issuers are so quick to throw in the exclusion for..

NOT COVERED.. "ACTS OF GOD" In some ways a person could define everything that happens an act of God? What a big loop hole to throw into a contract. My TV was set in place and never moved for all of it's natural life, Ah Men. Rest in Peace.

  • @willyboxc What does a private company have to do with the separation of church and state? This is a company not congress...

  • Walmart warranties are kinda sketchy... Sears/Best Buy have great Protection Programs...

LOL.. Polariod/Wal-mart and "top of the line" should NEVER be in the same sentence.

  • I dont know if you saw the other video, but the TV is 1.5 years old.. I bought it over a year ago, and about 4 months.. and its outside 30 day exchange, outside 1 year mfg warranty.. so it falls into the extended warranty i bought for $78.88 for a $1398.99 tv + tax.. and am now on day 14 with no calls, no answers, no one seems to care..

  • If you have your receipt, why don't you just take the TV back to wal-mart? It is under 30 days and if you have the receipt wal-mart will exchange it. They exchange everything with a receipt.
