I like how there's a giant political debate in the comments. I was reading the comments and I forgot what the video is on, so I scroll up from all these people going at it (or mainly just one guy telling others to stop debating him yet he makes it impossible) and being really angry and go up to see "a bug's life." Ha.

What Pixar excel at is making fun animations for the kids but providing deep, thought-provoking subtext for the adults. Us older people discuss the subtext of simple childrens films as a way of complimenting it. Saying it has good animation and good voice acting is not compliment enough. For a film to really be considered as a masterpiece of film, it has to mean something. A Bug's Life, along with Pixar's other films, means something, and discussing that meaning is a compliment in and of itself.

people are allowed to talk about whatever they want to talk about. if YOU want to enjoy the scene. then watch it and enjoy it. If others can see a political message in a kids film then whats the harm in that? just leave it alone your only stressing your self out!
