  • the music from Pan's Labyrinth is soo beautiful, but I feel that it was something that we have heard before.

On the other hand, Gustavo Santaolalla made a track with completely rare instruments and created a suspense and dramatic atmosphere.

My vote is for either of those 2 :P

  • poor thomas newman...

And alexandre desplat in 2010...must have nominated...

  • So beautiful, Penelope!

  • @elephantbluepeter383 In the category ''best non existing score'' surely it does

  • this win makes absolutely no sense. the piece they showed in the clip WAS NOT an original piece for the movie!!!!!!! it was composed long before. the only eligible music in the film was the simple guitar pluckings....... how was this movie even eligible?! how did it WIN?!?!?!?

  • Cate Blanchett appeared in three of the five nominees, including the winning movie Babel.

  • DEFINITELY!! He was deservedly awarded for Brokeback Mountain, but this one had NO POINT at all; just because Babel needed to get one of the nods; period.

  • Worst Best Original Score win of the decade.

  • Gustavo Santaolalla's music just gives you a - I don't know, a metaphysical feel -

It's so heavy and light at the same time like an echo in the soul or something.

He totally deserved this. His song in Amores Perros and then in Motorcycle Diaries were indelible works or art as well.

  • I love the guitar score from Babel. It gives that sort of pumped emotion
