QATAR SUCKS - the disgraceful truth about Qatar (human/animal rights abuser)

Qatar is a transit and destination country for men and women trafficked for the purposes of involuntary servitude and commercial sexual exploitation. Men and women from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Sudan, Thailand, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and China voluntarily travel to Qatar as laborers and domestic servants, but subsequently face conditions indicative of involuntary servitude. These conditions include threats of serious harm, including financial harm; job switching; withholding of pay; charging workers for benefits for which the employer is responsible; restrictions on freedom of movement, including the confiscation of passports and travel documents and the withholding of exit permits; arbitrary detention; threats of legal action and deportation; false charges; and physical, mental and sexual abuse. Homosexuality is forbidden all together, you can be thrown into jail or worse if you are gay or lesbian, animal rights also don't matter. This is the host nation chosen by FIFA through vote rigging and bribery for the 2022 Football World Cup. Boycott Qatar 2022 and all it's sponsors including Coca Cola, Sony, Hyundai, Kia, Mcdonalds, Emirates etc. At least 3000 laborers die in Qatar a year from falling off construction sites or collapsing due to heat. @143noonz143 I agree that is a bit reaching to say "Qatar Sucks" when in fact there are a lot of great things about Qatar as well; however, it IS significant to expose these things; regardless of where it happens because it is injustice and it needs to be addressed. As an American who once lived in Qatar and who still calls it home in my heart, I don't think its hypocritical to expose such atrocities although I'd personally focus my attention on my own soil. Still. The truth hurts.

I live in Qatar as an expat. There ARE good Qataris out there who are kind and gentle, but sadly they are being quickly replaced and hopelessly outnumbered by a generation of spoilt, lazy, rude, ignorant, racist, arrogant and stupid people, who have no respect for anything. Their culture and history has all but vanished, to be replaced by Shopping Malls and gas guzzling cars. I can only hope that the better Qataris will prevail over their vile brethren, Qatar could really be a wonderful place.
