The first - just a brief example of the principal behind a part being recorded for the upcoming album by Cleric. The Tenori-On is playing a sequence directly over an optical theremin that has been housed inside a plastic skull (handmade by Maria Juranic!). A tiny speaker comes out of the nose and plays the theremin sounds, the optical cells are in the skulls eyes. I am holding the Tenori just above the skull's face you will notice the different sized cells in the theremin's eyes reacting differently as the light sequence moves from side to side. I fade up the Tenori volume a little and it plays along with the buzzy-buzz of the theremin.

I haven't seen or heard of anyone doing this with a Tenori-On yet (positioning the Tenori-On to trigger the optical theremin's cells and recording the two in tandem), so as far as I know this is the maiden voyage. And that makes me an effin' genius. You are welcome.

Note - This is not the actual part written and recorded for the Cleric album. Check out iamcleric.com for more...
