Hello!
Here's a video to show you some risky but rewarding opening strategy combos (if done right) that can be done with a bow.
What i'm doing in this video is using one shot of my bow (be it Ranged Attack* or Support Shot) and switching to my Aux Weapon to continue my attack.

Once again, this is pretty risky. If you do not have a fast connection, you may end up getting hurt more than the opponent.

*For elves: Elf Range Attack shoots 2 arrows at the same time. If you are going to attempt this, it is better to use Support Shot, since it only shoots 1 arrow. The 2nd arrow causes the monster to run at you quicker, which is why it's not recommended.

Aux Weapons Used:
0:00 - Dual Wield (Broadswords)
0:17 - 2 hit slow (Toy Hammer with Kite Shield)
0:38 - 3 hit Fast [Single Weapon] (Dagger)
0:54 - 2 hit Very-Slow (Two Handed Sword)
1:06 - 1 Shot + WM with Bow

1:25 - Charge + Range combo
(Magnum can be used to, but very risky)

Extra combos:
1 Shot from bow + Counter. It works but I didn't show it

**Range + Magic does not work, unless the monster prepares a skill after the range attack**

Extra notes:
Some would say, there's no point in switching. However, you may find it useful in PvP, or if your melee strength is stronger than your ranged attacks. Even though my strength is not as strong as my ranged, sometimes, I use these combos during PvP. It's different and versatile.
Plus, you can make your own combos to suit your style. Experiment with the options Mabinogi let's you try.

Is this strategy really more effective than just using Magnum shot or smash?

@theAztecfalcon During actual combat, sometimes the monster is running up to you, and in 1 second, it's gonna be at your face and maul you with a club. Magnum and Smash would be good, if it didn't take more than 1 second. On the other hand, Range attack and Support shot loads in 0.8 seconds.

@Mistral120 In actual combat, you're supposed to be prepared for those kind of things to happen, in the situation you're exhibiting the monster doesn't aggro you immediately, thus magnum shot or smash would be more wise. Also, range doesn't load fast enough for humans to intercept an attack that will connect in one second anyways, so your argument is invalid.

@theAztecfalcon But... my video is about Bow 1 shot + melee... not How to kill a monster in 2 seconds. Also, Mabinogi is the Fantasy Life of many players. You could dress however you want, so why not battle however you want? Why follow Cookie-cutter builds when you can make your own? Why should I smash or magnum when I can feel awesome switching weapons mid battle? And, ever heard of Support Shot Locking?
