@element9105: Save for the scream part in "Whereabouts Unknown" =D that part's the only reason I listen to that song. But yeah I agree. The 2004 album is my all time favorite cause I just adore the way his voice sounds, and the fact that it's basically what happens when Rise Against does hardcore or punk of ANY style. It feels like they were a little more into it for the older albums. Not to say they're not any good now, oh hell no, but older Rise was definitely better.

@PlaystationNation2k9 I LOVE both equally. I just consider the two styles different genres. It depends on my mood, but more often then not, I find myself pulling their first three albums off of my shelf. Just my two cents!

I reckon Tim McIlrath's voice has matured so much since The Unravelling to Appeal to Reason. For the better I believe but some other people don't agree with me.
