not even close. i saw a dog in chicago that was at least 4ft tall and 8 ft nose to tail. i dont know what it was but it was like a small horse.

Type in Turkish Kangal Dogs and you will see the biggest dogs... I do love Newfoundlands and Landseers, they are huge and beautiful, but my brother had a Great Dane taller than this dog, and I've personally seen Irish wolfhounds even taller!
