Here are all of the videos recorded during the experimentation of our ChemE car. For this project, a team must design a chemically-propelled car. The goal of the car is to run as close as possible to 50 feet. The car must also be able to hold a cargo of water ranging from 50 mL to 500 mL.

WARNING: Do not attempt to do this experiment unless officially certified with chemical safety.

The first prototype was made of wood and was too heavy. The rest of the prototypes were made using K'NEX. A mixture of dry ice and water in a bottle was used to propel the car.

The farthest distance our car went was 40 feet.

Each member of this team was certified by EH&S at the University of Nevada, Reno.
