  • I remember this concert like it was yesterday. "Coach" was one of my mentors in my 3 years at Georgia, and I still think of him fondly for his championing me in performance opportunities in my time at UGA. I have always tried to live up to the kind words that he wrote in my college recommendation letters...and try to follow his ideals as I continue to pursue my career in music.

Do you have the entire video of the concert?

  • Yes, but other UGA Mens Glee Club Alums have taken the footage and posted it up on Google Videos. Search there for UGA Mens Glee Club and you'll find the rest. There is also a budding website for Glee Club Alumni at z11 (dot ) invisionfree (dot) com/UGAMGC

  • Thanks for posting this! I sang with Dr. Arante with the Concert Choir between 1977 and 1980, when we sang at the National Music Convention in Miami, FLA at the Jackie Gleason Convention Center. He was a great Conductor and a friend! Again, Thanks!

  • Awesome. Was glad this was a part of my UGA days and glad Dr. Arant was a part too. What a gret mentor and friend. There will be no more like him. Thanks for sharing this....Victor Wilson
