I have Pneumonia now for the first time I was hacking up dark brown flem. Dr. Put me on z-pax I have 1 pill left and still feel like crap

@kharvick2908 then go back to the doctor. I had to do two sets of antibiotics to get over mine. I hope you will get better soon.

hai.i currently have the flu.its the 4th day and have been coughing nonstop since 2 days ago. now i cant even cough its like a very powerless cough and all the lower part of my ribs hurt. i think it might be my diaphragm idk .do u think it can be pneumonia...?i dont have medical insurance and am from a low income family. therefore cant get medical attention. i was at the hospital and was denied medicare, becuz my husband gets paid 425 twice a month and supposedly we r supposed to get under 200

@sexyRGVgirl Sorry to hear you are not doing well, I know how it is, we don't currently have med insurance or medicaid for me and the wife either. Check in your phone book for free clinics in your area. We go to one operated by a local group of churches, but there are other nonprofit ones available too. I hope you will be able to get some medical attention soon.

@Evershear nope, not any here at all, we live in a very small town in south texas named Roma .. but we live in the border to mexico, my mom is traveling with me tomorrow to mexico to go to the doctor over there . so sad how we being citizens in a free country cant even get medical attention here. yet theres all these crazy old ppl getting checks and spending them on expensive cars.

@Evershear @AnatomaniaK I'm a 3rd year medical student and the usual "cold" can absolutely develop into pneumonia. Though most community acquired pneuomonia (CAP) are bacterial in nature, there is a possibility to get a pneumonia that is viral in nature. Viral pneumonias are usually classified as atypical pneumonias and typically invovle inflammation of the interstitial tissue in lung parenchyma instead of the alveolar space that is common to bacterial pneuomonias.

i have pneumonia in my right lung, no fever, not feeling bad.

only hurts like hell if i try to breath deep, laugh, cough etc.

@Evershear The cold/flu weakens your immune system to such a point your easily prone to infection. Doctors can not treat you with antibiotics while you have a virus.

Cold Weather does not cause pneumonia btw people.
