This is the first Manic's song to make me cry. Never did before but it bares significance to me now. My Dad has cancer at the moment, same as James' mother did (who he wrote the song about). It's a beautifully sad song.

Love this song and I love ocean spray pop....I feel a bit dumb that I didnt know its about someone dying but ppl shouldnt judge...I really didnt anylyse lyrics til a girl whos a bud said that I dont listen to lyrics and I realised I didnt....well I try to now but its just if I enjoy a song I dont get to deep on the words and get depressed...Lol I am called Emo enuff already

"Please stay awake so we can drink some Ocean Spray" how can you not cry at that? Is so sad but so beautiful as simple pleasures and emotions have more value that anything of monetary wealth. Makes me cry when I think of a son losing his mother. Sob sob!

what a beautiful song, I was with my mum, holding her hand along with my sister when she died of cancer I miss her every day.

I didn´t know it was about that. Feels like it´s fate that I would start listening to it then.
I´ve been in that situation myself once. I just wonder how he can sing it without choking up.
