    It is truly an amazing radio. Waterproof, durable, tough, and easy-ish to use. Toss it in the go-bag or glovebox and never worry about it. And if you DO manage to kill it, heck, they are only a little over a hundred bucks new. An outstanding value.

    No. To choose a PL or DCS, you press Function + 2 and use the MHz up/down buttons or the channel knob to go through the list of PL or DCS choices. They are all there.
