Many golf cart motors don't have a handy output shaft or faceplate. This is a description of the basics of what I had to do in order to use one. More detail will follow.

  • where did you get the quarter inch keyway material I need one for my go kart if anyone knows where to get it please respond!!!!!

  • You can get the keyway material from Manufacturer's Supply, but I've also used square bar purchased from metal suppliers on Ebay. I get 2-3 foot lengths and cut them to size.

  • i have a 24v 250w 14a electric motor do u think it is possibl for me to run my go kart. and possibly caring 200 lbs total with me on it. please comment back.

  • It would move, but not fast. Most scooter motors are bigger.
