One of the legendary England games. Enjoy the build-up to a dramatic night with Des Lynam, Ruud Gullit, Alan Hansen, Jimmy Hill and the incomparable Barry Davies.

  • Great memories always when watching this. Such a sad ending to it all though. Could've been our generation's 1966. Only the Euro's like, but it was still an amazing time. I can only imagine what the country would've been like had we won; euphoria all round.

  • gotta leave one thing to the tommies....NOTHING compareable to the atmosphere during a international match in England.

  • @MrGazMac is there a part 2, part 3 etc to this?

  • Old wembley was so much better than the new one....

  • love this video

  • @MrGazMac Sooner we get Redknapp in charge the better. I think he'll bring us closer to this kind of football from an England team than we have been since under all these foreign manager's. I crave the days when you could shout COME ON ENGLAND! and mean it, rather than just an act of desperation. Surely the finger can only be pointed at the manager's we've had. The players have always been of the right calibre, just haven't set about it.

  • As always: Football's going home and Germany wins

  • England fans singing you'll never walk alone!!!!

  • This was inadvertantly the beginning of the middle-classes jumping on the football bandwagon & thus making football the overpriced, sterile, celebrity-obsessed Sky Sports wankfest it is today...

    Bitter-sweet memories..

  • England Forever

  • "Ode to Joy" at the beginning nice ^^ written by Friedrich Schiller, music by Ludwig van Beethoven. Germany for ever!

  • what an atmosphere, not the same now, all corporate and shit
