It's about how something wich happens suddenly can change us... we can't choose the way of these changes, but we always have a way back.
It is about the girl who came in to the big city having nothing. Something made her to break the law... a year after you can't recognize her, it is a different person who plays with danger and lives. But the main battle on her strange way taught her something different and made her come back to the perilous real life. She wasn't strong enough to keep on doing the same things in a way she chose....

I used to have the cassette single of too funky (geez i'm old) I loved this song it is the best. I bought the CD single today of too funky and it's awesome. Every George Michael Fan should buy this Cd single. George is one of the last great B-side guys. If you didn't know most of his singles have rare B-side songs that aren't on any albums or aren't available anywhere else but on his Singles. I say you should pick all his singles. I kick myself for not buying his Fast Love Single.

I thought the song was about a man dancing crazily for money. But the video makes it clear that it's about violence. Because two people fighting is the crazyman dance. The crazyman dance is the ultimate metaphor for violence. George you rule.
