Photographs from the movie of the same name, starring Catherine Deneuve

IMDb site for Indochine:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104507/

Somewhat bitchy review of same by Vincent Canby:
http://movies.nytimes.com/movie/review?res=9E0CE7D61E39F937A15751C1A964958260

Listen to the music in stereo:

I only had two photographs, unfortunately. But they are stunning.

  • This is undoubtedly one of my favorite traditional Chinese (it IS Chinese, isn't it?) pieces (or at least part of it)... I've heard it plenty of times, but I have no idea what it's called. Odd, eh?

The Junk on the river is the perfect image to go along with it - peaceful and serene. :D

  • C'est très reposant, zen !

    =)

    Indochine = Pure merveille !

  • Amen JC! Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday! I'm having no luck at all, can't even convert my file... No worries though, I will get it eventually, thanks sincerely for all your advise...

  • U shouldn't take people so literally, it seems some what hypocritical 2 point out faults & then blast some one for suggesting there may be a fault in the perception of another's ideal! Being gracious enough 2 be happy with what u have clearly is 2 much for some people, point out the good & the reverse of the coin will linger in said persons mind! Improve on your own standards & be a good friend 2 others. PS, Re: ur comment on being considered evil! u dont realise how much u are truly admired.

  • Ah common, all I wanted to say is, if someone criticises, there are two possibilities:

    1. Invalid, deconstruct/ignore the criticism.

    2. Valid, consider possible improvements for later projects.

If there is no critic, everything stays the same.

But I see, that I should have increased the word quantity of the calming comment and set the remarks in ( ).

  • I'm despairing enough from that comment!

  • (°. °)?

Given,I might be considered evil, but I find sole praise without any remark to be far more devastating then criticism from personal bias, that can be deconstructed by standardizing the sum of all feedback. Hell, you can criticise every single thing in existence by comparing it with an imaginary, unachievable ideal. If one cant face the fact that everything can be improved, from a subjective, and for most chases also from an objective, point of view, the person will surely meet despair.
