  • @bcwwolfpack I'd really be interested in a DVD of this!

  • do you have this full vid? i'm doing the show right now and this would be a great asset!

  • @RogerDeBris100 ...by any chance did you get your hands on the full video ? if so can please let me know! thanks

  • @RyanEdwardWise Rule we go by in Australia. Our cams are all front on with a wide lens that is able to have the keys at the bottom of the picture. Some MDs don't have good techniques when it comes to head nods and is hard for the caller to read. Specific cues are taken off the first key pressed in a song which the caller can not see in this instance.

  • @murdoch1818 I'm sorry, but where did you learn that? If the musicians or caller (I assume you mean SM) need to see beats, a piano-conductor gives it with a head nod or hand cues, as Lon clearly does. Cams are almost exclusively a front-agle view of the conductor's torso or piano-conductor's head. Some shows have a side angle (i.e. current "On A Clear Day") due to the stage set-up. Nothing to do with the keys.

  • @murdoch1818 This is totally incorrect. Sorry.

  • @murdoch1818 what's the caller ?

  • Bad MD cam set up. If the MD is playing Keys, the camera should be able to see the keys as well, so the caller and other musicians can see the beat on the keys.
