Successful LAGA ivory operation on a renowned dealer in Douala trading in illegal ivory. This is the second time dealer is being caught exposing illegal ivory products in the Port of Douala while legal procedures are still against him and with recorded confession corrupting a court official.Trade in live or part of protected animal species like elephants and apes is illegal according to cameroon wildlife law with a prison term of upto 3 years.
@cloclont You said it all. Corruption, corruption, corruption in Cameroon. Those boys where set up for international propaganda. The young boys do not have the power to take down and elephant. The regime in Cameroon is the number one promoter of illegal logging. The government of Cameroon is under control by the Ewondo Mafia. These people are from thesame tribe as the President. They own all the logging business in Cameroon, Asia, and Europe.

All of the things shown here, not even half will get to the appropriate office. The police here would hide some, even the person filminge here will take his own and then it will go down the rank and file and eventually, maybe a handfew will get to the appropriate office...that is how sad a situation it is down there..As for the poachers,i think they are trying to survive....talking about extinction, are dinosaurs still here?So has live stopped cos they have gone extinct?

the market has to be crippled, if not the price of ivory gets higher and poachers get tempted to take the risk.
