In November of 2009 USCGC INGHAM departed Detyens Shipyard in North Charleston, SC bound for Key West, FL after minor dry-dock repairs. This video shows the ship heading east down the Ashley River on an outgoing tide passing under the Arthur Ravenel JR bridge, the second longest cable-stay bridge in the Western hemisphere. The tow took 6 days and was completed by Latham Smith Marine based in Morgan City, Louisiana.

Today INGHAM is a National Historic Landmark, a 501(C)(3) Non-Profit Veteran's Museum, floating classroom and training ship. After serving 53 years in service INGHAM was designated as a USCG memorial for all Coast Guardsmen who lost their lives in WWII and Vietnam. Their names are enshrined on the quarterdeck aboard INGHAM. INGHAM is open for self-guided tours, including groups and also serves as a training ship for various US military services training at the Truman Annex in Key West Harbor.

USCGC INGHAM, a Treasury Class Cutter, was built at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and launched on 3 June 1936. INGHAM served with distinction throughout World War II, sinking German U-boat 626 off Greenland's coast on convoy duty in December 1942. INGHAM also served as General Douglas MacArthur's amphibious flagship in the Philippines during the retaking of Corregidor. INGHAM is the only cutter to be awarded 2 Presidential Unit Citations, presented by President Nixon, for gunfire support during Vietnam. INGHAM was decommissioned 27 May 1988 as the oldest ship in the fleet. Serving for 53 years, INGHAM participated in search and rescues, drug interdictions, weather station patrols and countless other missions.
