John Bytheway shares a life lesson he sees in the game of football. He recently wrote a book called Sports: Life Lessons from Court, Field, and Gridiron which is full of these types of lessons and stories.
Why do we love sports so much? Perhaps its because a basketball, baseball, or football game is like a miniature lifetime―an unscripted, unpredictable drama where determination, adversity, persistence, exhilaration, and disappointment are all acted out in front of us.
The last-second three-pointer. The ninth-inning grand slam. The fourth and goal to go with time running out. In so many ways, the drama of sports mirrors the drama of life, where we all strive to overcome adversity and defeat with courage and determination. Drawing from the observations and stories of coaches, players, Church leaders, and even a few personal experiences, John Bytheway presents life lessons from the wide world of sports that all will appreciate. (Parents will appreciate that he also includes a few lessons not to learn from sports, including boasting, taunting, and the like.) Athletes, former athletes, and armchair quarterbacks of all ages will enjoy Sports: Life Lessons from Court, Field, and Gridiron.
@hawkeyery making money off God is different than being a doctor who should be getting paid. Making money off God is one of the most corrupt things people can do, Also implying that if he wasnt being paid to preach he would do a hedge fund is ignorant. Grow up man and open your eyes. He makes money of religion He sells God.

@cwood4ever Don't be a hater. Would you rather he started a hedge fund or something? I mean, do you feel the same way about doctors who make their money off of sick people, or morticians who make money when people die? I'm glad he found a way to provide for his famiy by doing something good!

@Gaminggal7 Your dad is John Bytheway. So how do you like a father that makes his money of religion? Someday he will have to face the fact that he has made a lot of money off religion.

@sarapiork this is about preparing for those times in mortal life that will be the most challenging, so that you will be ready to face what is difficult. If you use your eternal perspective, those times won't be but "12min" compared to eternity. I think you missed the point.
