the msx version seams to be a streight port of the sg 1000. Both version also have a soundtrack wich is interesting to listen to.

The Amstrad version has the most detailed graphics, (I am glad they kept the Spectrum programmer away from that - otherwise we would be looking at the Spectrum graphics on the Amstrad). The Atari 800 version has the fastest scrolling and it is smooth. There is a 16K and a 32K version of Zaxxon for the Atari 800, one has more objects in and missiles etc.

I think the 2600 one is the most interesting, ha ha

The C64 version really cannot be touched by these

@thesman32 - I just checked and the DOS version seems to work ok in DOSBox, although the control sucks. And of course it looks hideous due to the CGA graphics.

I think the Amstrad version looks the best, but the C64 in my imho plays the best of the lot. Really enjoying the vids dude.
You copy for the C64 is bugged. It's not supposed to have those lines in the floor. Also, you missed the versions for the Intellivision, Sega Master System, MSX, Apple and MS-DOS (in glorious CGA!).

@lurkerrekrul yea it was the capture that mucked up, i never noticed it until i had uploaded it sorry about that ,i didn't know about the intellivisiom, msx and apple versions thanks for that, the master system game is zaxxon 3D and has a different layout to the arcade ports,as for the dos version its notoriously difficult to get the old games running on a new pc or even emulate them.
im in the middle of a new video right now but i would like to go back and remaster some of my older ones.
