creditors go after people up until they declare bankruptcy because of their extreme medical bills and get the taxpayers to pay for them.

By the way, I pointed out about 20 ways the Republican administration left the country in worse condition than they found it.
I's still waiting to hear of any ways they left the country in a better condition than the way in which they found it.

Republican's idea of "small government" is to sit on their asses & do nothing except spend money on pork & serve corporate interests. .
They criticize any moves to help ordinary citizens with the same old one size fits all "big government" smear.
They are even fighting, not with facts but with "socialism" labels, attempts to bring access to health care to more Americans.
I hold a dim view of all politicians, but the Republican's tactics on the health care debate set a new low. They sicken me.

What a crock of manure you are trying to shovel. There was no reason to take over GMAC and Chrysler and give it to the unions other than Obama's great agenda. Chrysler before this government bailout was on the skids of bankruptcy and governments loans were used to bail them out, and were repaid. As for the financial industry they should have been treated the same way as Chrysler was give them loans but do not take control of the companies. This a liberal does not see as nationalization.

True there were mistakes by both party's on the financial collapse. But, to be redundant it started in the 70's under Carter's administration with the CRA. Greed took over on wall street with the securitization of sub-quality mortgages and sales to Fanie Mae and Ginie Mae and FHLB and their subsequent sales. Doing away with Regulation Q caused the S&L crisis, they had no expertise in commercial R/E lending. Then the oil crisis about the same time. It all took it's toll.

This all took place under your Democratic Party leadership and has been festering for years. Your democrats in power now refused to force oversight on FNMA GNMA and Freddie Mac , with Frank and Dodd saying they were solvent. Well, the house of cards came down, the democrats ran for cover and of course blame everything on Bush. Now we have a Marxist, Fascist, Socialist (you pick what he is) president who is doing his best to bankrupt this country. Wake up liberal before you lose all rights.

You can disagree on whether the auto industry bailouts were a mistake, & no matter what your opinion you can find economists and "experts" to support that opinion.
I am still waiting for the ways the Republican administration left the country in better shape than the found it.

The Bush & Republican administration ignored all the huge and growing problems & issues.
America is fortunate now to have a President who is confronting the major issues head on.
The backwards timid freaks who only see "socialism/communism" under their beds are pathetic, & if all citizens were that ridiculous - I'd say write the country off - it deserves to continue on the disastrous path of the GOP record.
