Nick's P.O.V.
I come here everyday. To the place were Alex was to almost lay, six feet under.
No, she's not gone....yet...
It's been almost a year since the day i lost her. Today is her 20th birthday. I wont be there to celebrate, but neither will she.
She's been in a comma since the day she was almost killed. HE did it....... HE took her away from me..... Scott.....
Joe and I made sure he was to never hurt her again. He was found and killed three weeks after he 'killed' her.

Alex has been in the hospital. She doesnt wake up, she doesnt say anything, and she doesnt move.....
The last time i heard her voice she told me she loved me.
I havent been in to see her in months. And i wont go...my brothers might, but i wont. I dont want to remember her like that....if she does die....

I sat down in the grass of the cemetery. I sat by Scott Truffle's grave.
"Why'd you do it?" I starred at his head stone. "Why!?"
I felt the tears slowly make their way down my cheeks.
"Today's her 20th birthday, you know. And she's not even here to celebrate..."

Joe's P.O.V.
I was with Alex in her hospital room. She kept twitching and i was hoping she might finally wake up.
I had given up on her because of what she said to Nick..and with her last breath too...but that didnt mean i didnt still love her.
She was still my favorite person in the world, but she wasnt mine anymore.
I grabbed her hand and started talking to her.
"Soooo, we miss you. Please come back to us....come back to Nick...please.."
Her hand moved in mine and she moaned. She was waking up?
"Happy Birthday Alex. You're 20 now. Wow, you've gotten old." I laughed a little and her hand moved more.
"Is it really my birthday?" Her eyes opened and she looked at me.
I practically jumped on her. I held her close, tightly, never wanting to let go.
"Ow..Joe.." She grabbed her stomach right where she had been stabbed.
"Sorry..." She wipped the tears from my eyes and kissed my cheek. "A year....you've been gone a year.." I looked into her eyes and saw the shock.
"A..a..a...year...." She looked down at our hands locked together. "Where's Nick?" She looked back up and I saw the pain and hurt in her eyes.
"I dont know..He's been a loner. And, Alex, he doesnt come here anymore.." I looked out the window while she took in what i said.
She was silent for awhile, that is until Kevin, Karlene(Alex's mom), Mom, and Frankie came walking in.
They all jumped on her the way i did. There were a lot of tears and Kevin even brought her balloons.
Everything was perfect for her, except Nick wasnt here...
