@ChathamFr0 haha i have three rats now and i LOVE them all! i got a big cage and play pen for them so when i get home from school i call there names and they come running out to me! they give me kisses! btw srry to here about you gerbils buddy:( RIP

You have to get rats when they are babies and hold them at least an hour a day.That way they won`t bite.At least mine never have.

@JJSuperClips Absolutely! Rats get lonely, should definitely have a pair or more! Glad to hear it seems to have calmed him down. :) My gerbil did that when her buddy died, doesn't bite a lot but nips more than she did. Small rodents are definitely social creatures and need roomates. ;)

@ChathamFr0 ya im not sure. i think one of the reasons are that i only bought one rat and not a two so i think it needed a buddy, so i went out and i got the other one. the second one doesn't give a shit and it never bit me and it loves me! thnks for the fead back thoe.

@JJSuperClips Rats do bite, but very rarely and if your rat bit you hard enough to make you bleed, you did something to really scare the shit out of it. I've had 1/2 dozen rats in my life, and never had a hard bite - just a little nibble to see what I tasted like I suppose, but I've NEVER had them bite me hard.

Some rats do but I would say it's extremely rare. My friend got bit and I was like "WHAT??? FOR REAL???" So I guess they do bite, but I for one have never been bit by any of my 10 rats.
