@67nairb However I think looking back the 70s was a better time for Saturday morning tv and a better time to be a kid in general. There weren't that many tv stations back then to start with. Sometimes having a wide variety of anything isn't good.
Was my discussion of bad world events in the 1970s inappropriate in this conversation? About Watergate, Vietnam, gas shortages and stuff? I'm a big history buff and I thought I'd just add those pieces of information.
@67nairb If you want to look at it that way, then every day is a bad one. Many people all around the world are losing a friend or family member they love.Things weren't always fantastic about being a kid. I grew up in a bad neighborhood the Bronx. It was really dirty and dangerous. I went to a catholic school were nuns would routinely beat kids. But all in all, the good times sure made up for the bad one. It's amazing how much joy a child can get out of the most simplest of things.
@Attila709 Well the 1970s wasn't all that great a decade: there were gas shotages, car lines at the gas pump, there was Watergate, the fall of Saigon, the genocide in Cambodia, terrorism, Jonestown. Not the best of times. But isn't that to be said about all decades; it was the best of times it was the worst of times? Anyway the 70s didn't seem bad to me when watching cartoons every Saturday and after school. When your an 8 year old kid world events don't mean a thing.
@67nairb You never know, technology is making large leaps faster and faster. But to be honest, I would only go back in time if I knew then what I know now. There were a lot of horrible years I would never want to repeat.
Yup

@Attila709 I'm sorry if you were routinely beaten by nuns. That must have been horrible. The worst I got from a nun was a spank.

Do you suppose that lion, crocodile and tiger wanted to eat the mouse or his Cheetohs.
