Zumindest für Fußballfans ist dies die schottische Nationalhymne. Hier gespielt von Jürgen Rech auf dem schottischen Dudelsack.

  • ist der dudelsackspieler deutsch?

  • Ja - I am deutsch and maybe that's why many of the comments here are in German. Why not? Scotland is a country and Deutsch is a language and the Highland Pipes are a musical instrument played in most if not all countries of the world by people of very different languages, ethnies - slim people, fat people, short and tall. The only thing that matters is if they CAN play.

  • well i didnt say i had a problem with it so u dont need to be so rude

  • sorry - I didn't want to be rude but that question (why does a non-Scott play pipes?)comes up regularily. Aber ich sollte deutsch posten - Du kannst es gut verstehen, oder?

  • ja ich kann verstehen aber nicht SEHR gut...

i didnt say why does a non scot play babpipes

  • sorry again...

  • Really well played. I'm Scottish and think it's great that a German person has taken an interest in our culture. Wilkommen freunde!

  • Fuck of Edward the Longshanks. The Irish stand beside ye joining the fight.

  • @afropso Good luck with your speech! Don't forget Pibrochs and laments too ;-) And how at ports when Scots used to leave for USA, CAN, AUS, they used to pipe them away because they knew they would never see them again. Very sad. Very emotional ;-)
