Stolen Glory is a short story of a Nican Tlaca woman who finds the truth that will forever change the view of herself and the world.

Along with the 500 year theft of our land and our independence as a culturally and financially free people, our self image has been colonized. The effects that colonialism has on our psyche is a very deep and damaging reaction that we create in regards to our identity. The White supremacist models of absolute true beauty as governed by whiteness have long trigggered low-self esteem in the Nican Tlaca people as well as in other communitues of colonized peoples. We have been robbed of our sense of identity and collective. Our sense of appreciation for what is ours and what defines us. Our beauty, our colors, our features, are all part of our cultural and ethnic tapestry and we should celebrate our characteristics with pride.

Women of Anahuac, Men of Anahuac, love yourself, your history, know your past, plan your future.

A special thanks to Olin Tezcatlipoca, founder and director of the Mexica Movement for being a warrior for longer than some of us have been alive and also thanks to the rest of my brothers/sisters Mexica warriors in the Mexica Movement for all of their hard work and dedication. Tlazocamati.

  • actually mexicans are made up of native blood more than anything else

  • mestizo is an imposed identity, which you glorify to be more white regardless the blood quantum you carry. Us Nican Tlaca are not given the choice to choose we were forced to choose through the constant colonial pressure. We who are aware and awakened to the truth, choose Nican Tlaca, those who choose both and glorify European scars and wounds from an assaulted history contributes to diluting and erasing of our true future and identity as Nican Tlaca.

  • This is so true.I'm a male and my father would always push me to desire white women. The t.v. would always show me images of white women as the ultimate mate.I was always confused about this.My mother did not look like those women. And I always thought she was beautiful.Since I've become aware of our true identity and history I'm overwhelmed by the beauty and strength of my sisters. I find myself staring at them and just feeling so proud! If all of them knew who they really are....
