  • how did you get the screen to show full screen it does not matter what i do settings wise it always boots so as i cant see the menu bar any help would be appreciated!!!!

  • @xboxrob2011 You need to use the Xbox 360 VGA cable, not the stock component cables. These cables give you a higher screen resolution (1024x768) which lets you see a better picture. I've heard that using an HDMI cable does the same thing, but if you don't have an HDMI port on your console (Like me) you need the VGA Cables.

  • xellous doesn't boot linux... your using xell.

  • @jiv3turk3y89 XeLLous is just XeLL with a few new features. It can do everything that XeLL can do, including booting Linux.

  • Yo thats not a xenon unless that has a custom disc drive...Xenons were the arcades and they have matte white disc drives that match the xbox's color..i have a xenon jtag myself and a jasper and the jasper has chrome. Anyway if you are wrong and it happens to be a falcon or jasper than be happy....XENONS BLOW AND GET RROD LIKE BITCHES!!!!!!!

  • @sgfreak96 It's a launch Xenon Pro Bundle console, not an Arcade. I've re-balled it, and replaced it's x-clamps with screws, so It will never RROD. It's not the only console I've JTAGed either, just the only one that I didn't sell. I JTAGed a Jasper a few months ago, and sold it.

  • it only run with the livecd?? you dont install any?

  • @sgfreak96 Wow fail.

  • @vivacarlie But actually i have been very greatful in the past. My pc was broken about 1,5-2 years ago and i had to wait a long time for replacement parts. Thats when my xbox (the orrigional) ran linux all day long.... (which was a drag because it couldn't run many programs at once with it's lousy 64mb memory.

  • @vivacarlie And i don't swap my hd's that often. Maybe because i have a very powerful pc on the same 46" tv, which has better media capabilites. So then the question becomes why use an xbox360 to do something you could do on a pc which has far better media and driver support... At the moment.

Unless you're a hacker who simply wants to harness the power of that xbox360 and thats your thing. Much like breaking the bank. But then the issue is one of luxury and not of povery anymore.

  • @vivacarlie Well luckilly it's not the power which is an actual issue but harnessing it. So it's very fair to ask such a question. Maybe linux on xbox360 ain't for the masses indeed, unless they get xbmc running, stable and functional on powerpc linux+xbox360 linux or something like it. I know i installed mine on a 60gb hd which i can swap with a 1tb hd which turns the xbox into a game machine again (hope they make it so linux can boot from normal hd). cont.

  • @chriss179 that's the issue, other than videogames and web surfing, what do you do with a linux machine that powerfull?
