  • my dad has 2ltr frontty like this and a lanny 3.5 v8 lanni is better but this is suprisingly good specially for lanning

  • Our Fronty can go anywhere a Landy wants...so hey, if it does that? We're happy with it.

But as an update - I went back to that little bank, and DESTROYED it ...showing I know better than my husband, so said to use 2nd gear. Mwaahahahaa!

I love Off-roading and green laning.

  • I'm looking to go offroading for my first time and want a cheap old 4x4. I know Vauxhall don't exactly have the 4x4 experience of landrover but I have been told it is surprisingly very good off road, are they?

  • YES!!! You would be shocked! The engine is up high, intake and distributor are at the back of the engine, set up high. There is even protective plating over the drivetrain and gastanks. These things are pretty much READY to go! Parts are cheap to boot :) Landy's have god-aweful engines, so be wanred. I have a 1993 and a 1995 Frontera Sports, and love them to death.

  • Cool, I was told they are as tough as they look, can you recomend an engine? Diesel or petrol?

  • Petrol! Bigger the engine, the better. I would also go with a manual trans and NOT an automatic.

  • Oh, petrol all the way! No doubt. The fronty in this video has a 2 liter engine, and works great . I do believe they come with larger. But size is up to you. They're fun either way.

  • Awesome!

I bought mine for 500 bucks on the road haha!

Just a question, why was 4x4 not engaged? I can't see rear wheel spin.

  • Nothing wrong with a frontera, plenty of power for the road and low box is good for off road.then again I now run a swb v6

  • I have a Frontera Sport the same colour as that one. I love it to bits - the best cost effective 4x4 you can buy, bar none! :)

  • I ve got the same car with 2,8 l isuzu's engine, good car !

  • yea i know automatics are usless off road. Speaking of 4x4s I saw an old 3 series land rover built in 1960 and it only had 50K miles!I have seen fronteras with double that!
