This is the halftime performance of The Ohio State University Marching Band on Sept. 15th, 2012 against California. The show was titled "To Boldly Go", which had a "Space" related theme. The whole performance was great but hot spots in the video are:

Space Shuttle formation and takeoff-1:20
Lunar Module landing with flag- 4:00
USS Enterprise- 5:40
Introduction of guest John Glenn- 6:50
John Glenn dots "I" in formed "Script" America 8:20

Well done TBDBITL!

And what did Neil Armstrong say when he stepped on the moon? Let me refresh your memory, "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind." That's it. MANKIND.

For what it's worth, I hope our next step into outer space is in partnership with other nations.

Being 'American' is just a state of mind, brother. Anyone can be American. But it does make me proud to see this. :)

Pretty sure that 4:00 was intended to be looking forward to a U.S. Landing on Mars, not the moon, as the music played was "Mars, Bringer of War" from Holst's suite "The Planets".
