  • Each of the turbines hasd the capacity of 700 MW. A typical new wind terbine is around 1-1.5 MW. So you can calculate that it equals 500 to 700 of the big wind terbines. The three gorges dam produced more power than all the wind turbines in Germany and US in 2008.

  • Great animation!

  • My business, Design Matrix Inc. in Amsterdam, NY, produced this video for GE in 2004. The GE branding has been removed, along with copyright notices. The person who posted this certainly is violating copyright laws.

  • @yorryyorry there are nuclear reactors which can produce more than 700MW, though there are no plants which can provide as much as this dam's 24 or somthing turbines will.

  • Cool animation.

  • @calvingao1987 At the cost of land and lives of it's citizens. Shameful.
