Two years after The Mascot, Starewicz brings his beloved character back to life in this short 10-minute film about what happens when Fétiche and his new wife embark on a boat to Paris, but the captain has a tendency to drink a little too much.

About the subtitles: This is my first attempt at subtitling something, and I couldn't have picked a worst choice. The words are most of the time incomprehensible. After listening to each phrase about 10 times, I finally could make some sense out of some of them, but others were more mysterious. I ended up with this, and it's the best I can do for now. If you want to provide help, then by all means, do! There's one sentence I couldn't understand for the life of me, and it's repeated twice. I put (...) instead of trying to invent something. Forgive me.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. I know The Mascot, or the original Fétiche (1934) is one of his most famous work, and I've wanted to see this one for quite a while. I'm sure I'm not the only one!

Actually this is a sequel to an intermediate short entitled "The Bride Of Fetiche', which, sadly, I've never seen but read about.
