This statistic is right up there with the Democratic talking point of 600,000 Iraqi's dead since American invasion.

He makes the outrageous claim that 10,000 people in one town died in a single tornado.

Amazingly, not one objection or question is raised from the audience.

In fact 12 people died in that tornado.

I'm a bit tired, so I'll just say your argument sucks. You're presuming the guy is incompetent about numbers based on one statement and saying he's unfit to lead based on one statement. I actually live in the US, and his response to Hurricane Sandy was praised by many politicians on both sides of the political aisle. I'll judge him based on that. And this issue has no relevance at all to the budget so that's ridiculous. You're running on a lame straw man argument.

It is absolutely frightening to see that there are people who defend Obama, after he mistakenly called a catastrophe 5x larger than Katrina, which caused 1'836 deaths!

    PEOPLE, PUT THINGS INTO CONTEXT!

This is not a harmless little mistake, this is a GIGANTIC blunder!

It largely explains how he could DOUBLE the budget deficit of 8 TRILLION dollars in just 4 years!

8 Trillion simply is a meaningless number to him. He doesn't get the difference between 12 and 10'000, so what do you expect?

Obama mistook a minor storm that caused 12 deaths for an event 5x larger than Katrina and he thought he had to tell people about it.

The guy has absolutely no grip on reality!

He cannot put things into context. He doesn't understand orders of magnitude. How can such a man possibly make decisions that will affect 300 million people?

It is obvious that he has ZERO understanding for numbers.

And you try to downplay this display of utter stupidity and innumeracy? Wow... baffling.

... then BY ALL MEANS make sure that he is not a clueless retard!

10'000 deaths would make that storm he's talking about one of the biggest catastrophes in the history of humanity. Up there with the major earthquakes, the major Tsunamis, the most devastating volcanic eruptions.

Such a catastrophic event would make gigantic headlines!

Katrina caused 1'836 deaths and look at the media coverage it got.

You REALLY don't get how such a CATASTROPHIC mistake would affect his "leadership"?

Well for starters, I don't think anyone should have the powers of a president - in my country, Switzerland, there is no president. The job was divided over 7 equals who, collectively, have less power than any president or prime minister and considering how well we are doing, that seems to be a good method.

But IF you want to give such powers to a single person, ...

The degree to which people exaggerate one occurrence is baffling. You just said "of course it is a mistake;" that should end the matter. How that translate into his effectiveness as a leader, you haven't established, nor have you said how he's "evil and stupid." The true grandiose statements lie in your faulty reasoning.

For all the suckers who defend Obama: his "mistake" represents an error of TWO ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE!

That's not a "small error". It's the equivalent of a heart surgeon trying to operate a healthy person in a town 100 miles away from the actual patient.

    ZERO facts checking!

If I (mis-)heard that 10'000 people were killed by a tornado, I would IMMEDIATELY check the plausibility, because that would be one of the world's greatest catastrophes, extremely unlikely.

The degree to which some people will defend evil and stupid politicians is just amazing...

What is ridiculous is that you would claim that making grandiose statements about "10'000 deaths" and "an entire city destroyed" is "JUST a mistake". Of course it is a mistake, but not one to be taken lightly. As president or presidential candidate, no one expects him to be "perfect", but this is a mistake that would make a 12 year old look bad. A president MUST CHECK HIS FACTS!!!

That's ridiculous. You just said it was a "mistake." If you want to think you, or anyone else, is free of mistakes, then feel free to run for President. I'd rather give heed to how he responds to current tragedies like Hurricane Sandy, rather than viral statements he made while campaigning over 5 years ago.
