I am Hamshentsi, the blood that runs in my body and that of my father and his father before him is constant for centuries..

My mothertongue tells me my blood is Armenian, all our neighbours in Georgia called us Armenian,

I am Hamshen therefore I am Armenian

That isthe truth. Do not be afraid to accept the truth, our people have a history over 4 thousand years old.

Be proud of your heritage, we have spilled blood to keep our language and culture.

Thank you, I will send the translation document from our Hemsheni dialect to Turkish , i then translate turkish to Farsi if I have to understand the difficult words.

But in all our language in root form is identical to Armenian, we say for example inc gases, and in iran the Armenais say Inc Kases, but the funniest is how we all say the same way for the swear word..

I speak Farsi, I speak my language, and some basic Turkish, we have a lot of Turkmen in our region in Iran, my wife is Iranian and her family very nice modern people, when we marry I am Sunni & she was Shia but they never made problem for us.

I never knew there were Hemsinli people in Iran, I heard some may have gone there but never actualy spoke to one. So do you speak any turkish? or did Persian language take over? In that part of Iran, many turkic people.

I am beginning to learn Armenian now, my children now all speak Eastern dialect like real Armenians. But for me its a struggle

ha agbar, I am Muslim and yes I know my identity, and I agree our people are from Armenian, but very hard for me to change or even think about changing my religion.

You say you converted, if that brings you peace and happiness I am happy for you.

In Iran we grew up as Muslims, and even my Armenian friends in uni called me "Muslimahay" or Muslim Armenian, I have no problems with that.
