@amanda15cool no u buy it at the store (or sims 3 website but i got mine at the store just in case my laptop broke) and then you install it and play it so no you cant play it online with other people but its fun (if you get the double deluxe it has ambitions, an expansion pack, i got double deluxe and didnt buy another expansion pack until like a month or so)
