@Specialized1993 Ok, I'll take your bait, but I don't need to call you names. You don't need to troll to get responses.

Systema is a COMBAT defence system, NOT a sport. The techniques are used by actual soldiers to kill, maim, or otherwise render their opponent unable to function further. Because MMA has actual rules and IS a sport, most combat techniques like Systema/Krav Maga simply wouldn't be allowed; OR they'd have to be modified until they were something else, totally watered-down.

@bikizuzu Ok, adding this to clarify my comment up there cuz I've had some folks actually inbox me over it.

SO: Systema was created as a close-quarters-combat style for Russian military. Designed for BATTLE, not 'sport' combat, but it CAN be used as such. MMA rules simply don't allow SOME techniques used in Systema/Krav Maga/etc because of the dangers; it'd be overkill, not 'sporting', & thus unfair BY MMA RULES, ok?

In ANY combat case, the more SKILLED fighter will win, regardless of style.

@FrostedFlakesify My comments were addressing the legalised & sanctioned Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) events in which there ARE specific rules that address weight classes, ring size, strikes/kicks/etc allowed, even the taping & gloving of the hands, just as in boxing, for example.

You are correct that the term 'mixed martial arts' does indeed imply precisely as you said, & there are several arts that combine styles of others. I was being specific to say, UFC MMA, which does have defined rules.

mma does NOT have rules. mma means MIXED MARTIAL ARTS. this includes doing kungfu AND systema AND muay thai or ANNNNY other martial arts MIXED TOGETHER. pretty much the concept of jeet kune do......

retarded. the supposed MMA guy should be without gloves - otherwise this is an unfair fight - the systema guy can hit in the eyes - while MMA guy can't. etc.
