Used is a Ampeg VT-40 and Fulltone Dist Pro with Dunlop Qzone. This is my version but it will get you close enough. Thanks for nice comments and ratings in advance.

  • Awsome tone. You've nailed it. Every tried an Ultimate Octave?

  • @neoflox yes Ive owned one however never got the tone I liked out of it. Of course I never ran it thru on old ampeg so my mind might change.

  • @ThePartyOfOne man u got his tone down! is that ampeg a bass amp? and what exactly does the q zone do?is it an equalizer?

  • @borntohula94 Thanks, The ampeg is a VT40 which was designed for guitar by a bass Amp company so its voicing is more low end oriented. The qzone is just a parked wah notch filter that gives it a more midrange squawk type sound.

  • Dude, is that an Ibanez AS73B?

  • @Roowiet yes it is.

  • @TheDavmallon well there are several ways to play this song. like in the vid, or theres another way, just go to ultimate guitar.com but i play it in drop A.

  • What tuning? Everywhere I look says Standard.

  • Can you demo each of those pedals??

  • Josh Homme plays the chorus (when he sings 'no one loves me') different

  • How much would you sell the ampeg for?

  • fucking awesome!

  • Spot on my friend. And that Ibanez looks mean as fuck! Never thought an ES-335 type guitar could look so awesome in matt black.

  • Man I love that tone. That album is full of great guitar sounds. I think you did a great job duplicating it. Nice! :)

  • @ExclaimedMusic Alright, I've had one for some time and found it very effective for normal leads too. But you are right about the octave lead stuff. I miss mine...

  • @neoflox Josh only uses that pedal for octave leads, not his normal tone. Think the solo from Make It Wit Chu.
