I believe pick gives you more of a treble sound and your fingers give you more of a bassy sound

I play with both but for my band I am predominately a finger bassist but there is nothing wrong with a pick it helps do some things you can't do with finger.

Hey man, nice job there. well, i think you should try to use more fingering (without leaving the pick behind forever, of course). You have a good ability and a nice shaping on your left hand, plus a clear potential to improve your finger playing. Eventhough you like more playing with the pick, because of the more warm and middle-high tunes, amongst other things, maybe if you just practiced more pickless you'd learn more techniques and equalization tips to make your execution very clean, soft.

iron maiden is for fingering, hail harris

the fact that Steve rox with his fingers does not mean that u have to play Maiden songs with fingers. Why? Because Steve may be the great finger player, but nobody else will get the very same sound as him anyway, so pretty much what u said is bullshit.
